New Wine

I painted “New Wine” to depict the parable of putting new wine in new goatskin flasks. If new wine is put into an old skin, it will burst. Furthermore, my true inspiration came from Isaiah 61 where God promises the restoration of more than all that was lost. However, just like the old wineskins, if we do not rid ourselves of our old ways, grudges, unforgiveness, anger, etc. the new blessings God wants to pour out on us will break the old wineskin and we won’t be able to receive the new blessings.
