His Daily Bread

I painted this oil on canvas, as always with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. As I painted the loaf of bread, the top crust kept turning out somewhat fluffy instead of like crust on bread. I repainted it 5 times. Then it occurred to me that the top of the loaf looked like Manna from Heaven, the sustenance provided by God when the Israelites journeyed through the barren desert. Spending time with Papa God, whether it is sharing communion, praying, worshipping, or sitting quietly just listening, is our daily bread, our sustenance.
