Let Freedom Ring

“Let Freedom Ring” was created from the photo of a boulder formation behind our home. As I sat there admiring the size and solidarity of that formation, I saw in my spirit, a bald eagle flying overhead carrying the American Flag. I began painting it in early June, knowing that it must be ready for Independence Day. One day after a session of painting, I stood up and looked at it from a distance. I could not believe what I saw. During that day I heard in my spirit do not look at the photo, but
just paint. I always ask for Divine Guidance before and while I paint as it is my prayer to paint what is in Papa God’s heart. I took a photo of what I had just painted and shared it with a few friends and some family members, asking what they saw. For some it brought tears while others saw parts of the story. What I clearly saw was an otherworldly being strangling a female at the high point of the formation, The Lion of Judah who is aghast on the left side facing the women, and the bust of President Trump carved out of granite from a boulder on the right side of the formation. I heard in my spirit the following cultural connotations:

The strangulation of the essence of who God made woman to be; The Lion of Judah aghast at how culture has twisted the value and purpose of His creation as well as the horrific effects that twisting has had on women, children, families, and those most vulnerable in our society; The Bust of President Trump carved from granite symbolizing the strength it took to
move a nation in the right direction and now watching those positive steps made in our society crumble away.

To be fair, originally in the photo, the bust of President Trump was not as easily perceived in the boulder formation. Once I saw it, I took artistic license to paint it more clearly.

These United States of America have a destiny designed by God. Don’t stifle that destiny. That is the message behind
“Let Freedom Ring”
